“Ah, this is the life.”
I say to myself as I cruise along Highway 85 with the top down. This is such an awesome car by the way. Who would think I would be able to acquire this nice 1959 Cadillac Eldorado modified and customized with a white canopy? To think it cost me almost nothing to get! Still I’d have paid an arm and a leg for it but to get it for cheap and in this such great condition?
“Worth the trouble.”
I say to myself once again. Man, this car is just perfect. The candy apple red goes great with the white. The engine is reliable after being rebuilt and the trunk is twice as spacious as I thought it would be. The only problem is that rattle and thumping coming from inside. Sigh, there it goes again. I maneuver the car to the side under a row of trees. Better take care of this I think to myself as I get out of the driver’s seat.
I pop the trunk and she looks at me in horror. “Now now, ma’am. You’re gonna have to be quiet unless you wanna end up like your husband”. I say to her gently as I glance over to the right, seeing the cold dead eyes of the car’s previous owner.
